Halloween was good for the Paytons. Usually Max is a single trick or treater, but this year we joined some friends in a neighborhood chock full of kids. They’d run from one house to the next. He could barely keep up. Finally we split off with the younger kids and they had a great time.

Halfway through, Max said, “This is enoug trick or treating.”

We got through the night without any significant candy overages. All in all, it was a good Halloween.
