The Unlikely Friendship of a Power Ranger and Puffer Fish

I am amazed at a 4-year-old’s creative imagination. Max was playing with his giant boy Power Ranger (ick) and I introduced a puffer fish ornament. Max didn’t skip a beat. He made the Power Ranger and puffer fish friends, and the Power Ranger went on to save the puffer fish from iminent harm from other Power Rangers. The two were inseparable. You gotta love kids.

Happy Chinese New Year! Toni and I took the kids to our local asian store where the dragons danced, firecrackers warded off the many evil spirits of the economy, and masters demonstrated kung fu. Oh and we got some amazing free asian food. Can’t beat that.

Hubby is Coming to Town!

For those of you who follow me, you know my husband has been working in Missouri for the past 6 months (could it be that long already??). We thought by now he’d find a job and head back to Orlando (or get us moving somewhere) but that hasn’t happened yet. Damn economy.

Anyway, it’s been tough. We’ve only seen each other about 3 times so far. Max is doing really well. The last time he came for our anniversary, he only stayed 3 days. So I told him his next trip had better be longer or he shouldn’t bother coming at all! (Ok I didn’t really say that). So I’m happy to say he is coming for 10 days! He arrives today.

Too bad Max’s Spring Break was this week. Still, he’ll get some good Papa time, and hopefully I can work in a date or two.
