DO NOT Try This at Home

So I’ve been waiting for 2 weeks to get all the parts to fix my iPhone. Turns out the digitizer is cracked too and I didn’t buy one of those. Damn. So another $30 (for overnight delivery) and I’m still without a phone.

Here’s what 2 hours got us:

Gah. It sucked. Lots of flicking broken glass off. Nail polish remover. Bad words. Still no phone.

PS If you find yourself in this predicament order the kit that includes the digitizer. Just in case.

PPS Don’t call me for 3 days. I won’t be able to talk!

I Dropped my iPhone

DSC02011

No, I did not throw it at someone. No, I did not run over it. I pulled it out of my back pocket and dropped it (not even face first) on a gravel parking lot. It actually still works but when I text I get glass splinters in my fingers.

I ordered a repair kit. Still waiting for part of it. Sigh.

Not sure why this would sell him on it, but Hub is getting one too. I still love my iPhone.

Anissa Mayhew Needs Our Help

Sorry to be such a downer lately. Lots of sadness going around. Anissa Mayhew, who blogs at Hope for Peyton, recently suffered a stroke. She’s got a lot of friends online and off, and we’re trying to come together to help her and her family come through this.

I’d been following Anissa on Twitter for a while and was excited to get to play pool with her at Type A Mom. She’s already been through so much.

If you blog, please help spread the word. The family is asking that anyone who wants to help out donate through their Paypal link below. I’m going to do my part. It’s amazing, actually, how social media has helped spread this message. And I’m glad to be a part of it.
