Coming Out of the MommyBlogging Closet

I simplify women like me (own a business and having kids) as being one of two types of people (again, I realize I’m simplifying this but whatever):

  1. Those that identify more with their career site
  2. Those that identify more with their mothering side

I’m a #1. I own my marketing firm, and I promote my Marketing Eggspert blog. I rarely tell anyone about this blog. I don’t (yet) measure traffic, or even know/care if anyone reads it. When people talk about mommybloggers, I cringe a little.

But you know what? I am a mommyblogger. I blog about being a mommy. Or in my case, a mama. It’s part of who I am. Maybe I’ve been reluctant to let people see that side of me, but I’ve decided to be more open about it. I’m ready to admit I write two blogs, one about marketing, and one about parenting.

That wasn’t too hard.
