So the Husband is here for 10 days. I’ve been on cloud 9. I find myself doing logic problems, watching movies, and reading. It feels like I’m on vacation.

I guess I underestimated how much work I’ve been doing. It feels like I’ve been constantly go-go-go, what with getting up, getting Max ready, taking him to school, working, picking him up, cooking, cleaning, et cetera, et cetera. So you can imagine how great it is to have my 50/50 parenting partner back on the job.

I slept in while he took Max to school yesterday.

He cooks a lot. I sit on the couch and look pretty (his favorite thing to tell me to do to get out of his hair).

I have been playing Wii again. Because I have time.

I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: I admire single parents. It’s frikkin hard raising just one kid on my own for 6 months. I can’t imagine this in perpetuity.  But still, I can’t wait until we’re all together permanently. I feel that time is coming soon.
