This weekend I was one of the – ahem – Mommybloggers invited by IZEA and SeaWorld Orlando to visit the theme park. Somehow, we’ve never been. Been to all the other parks but not SeaWorld. There’s no good reason except the opportunity never came up.
It was awesome, as you can see from the pics. I met amazing bloggers like Miss Britt and Morningside Mom, and got to hang out with ones I already knew, like Modern Mami and Sparkplugging’s Wendy Piersall. (sorry if I refer to people by their blog name. It’s a blog thang) Ted Murphy and Tara Lamberson were our chaperones, and even bought us cotton candy and popcorn (Max is wondering if his poop will come out blue, thanks to one of the bloggers).
SeaWorld was smart for inviting us (well, for letting Ted convince them to do it). We’re all happy as clams, and we’re telling everyone who reads our blogs all about it. I’ll save the marketing savvy behind it for The Marketing Eggspert. But it was smart.
SeaWorld is perfectly kid friendly. There are fewer rides than at other theme parks, and they have a great kiddie play area (although the dads who came say to avoid the large jungle gym type area. They all went AWOL for a good 45 minutes. Turned out they were LOST!). I highly recommend it, and will definitely be back!
Thank you SeaWorld and IZEA!
