Who ARE You?

It’s always cool for me to get comments on this blog from people who say they’ve been reading it for a while.  I know people read my stuff, but I just don’t know who you are! I have met a few of you in person and chatted with others online, but I’m always interested to learn more about my readers.

This is your chance to toot your own horn!

Tell me who you are. What you do.  Your pet peeves about parenthood.

Do you work? Stay at home? Love sushi?

Where do you live? What would you like to see more of on this blog?

And if you want to connect with me, you can follow me on Twitter @eggmarketing. Friend me on Facebook. Become a Fan of my marketing company or my giveaway blog.

Toot toot too-toot!! Had to think about this for a while… though it seems like it should be easy, no?
OK, full name: Tracy Bossinger, but you can call me that weird semi-lurker on your blog. :}
I live in Coral Gables, FL (next door to Miami) with my hubby, 2 boys (almost 8 & 6 1/2) and a menagerie of Very Small Animals Who Might Make Piglet Feel Large.
I’m a stay at home/homeschooling mom who also attends college online (majoring in Interior Architecture and Design, a big-time shift from my former incarnation as a special education major). I am attempting to figure in a way to start an independent decorating consulting firm along with my other ‘jobs’.
I love your blog the way it is because sometimes parenting DOES really suck, and if we complain about it, we’re seen as the Whiny, Bad Mom (or Dad). Which leads to my biggest pet peeve about parenthood, and that is the lack of respect (spoken or unspoken) shown to those who have chosen to become parents, and the lack of respect for children themselves. But I promise not to stand on a soapbox. :}
Did I miss anything?
Oh, I don’t love sushi, but I’m right there with you on the wine thing… and went to a tasting today at a relatively local winery – yes, there is a winery in South Florida, and it’s pretty wild!

Tracy–
I love that you always comment! Thanks for introducing yourself. Let’s have a virtual glass of wine together.

Good luck with starting your business. Did you know I have a marketing blog too? You might find useful stuff there: http://www.sparkplugging.com/marketing.

I’m glad I’m not alone in feeling like parenting sometimes sucks. I feel like I’m weak and need help bc other moms “act” like they’ve got it pulled together. That’s why I started this blog: to find others like me! And I have!

I used to live in Orlando and I remember hearing about a winery in S. Florida but never made it. And I know exactly where Coral Gables is!

Hoisting a glass online sounds good! Thanks for the well wishes… and actually, I found this blog via your sparkplugging pages (though I’ve never commented there, and haven’t really looked at it in a while – no time of late).
The winery is in Homestead, and they do wines from tropical fruits, rather than grapes. Some are quite yummy (most are VERY sweet), others not so much.
Regarding the parenting sucking: I’ve been fortunate to find a few moms locally who acknowledge that sometimes, yes, it is a horrible experience. It took a great leap for me to discover that – I had a panic attack (never before, and thankfully not since – it was awful!) on the way to a playgroup, and kept myself together with the mantra to ask the mom I was visiting how she ‘does it all’. When I asked her, she looked at me like I’d grown another head, and said, “What makes you think I have it all together? I’m in the same boat you are!!” What a revelation! Anyhow, all that rambling just to say THANKS!!
